New School: The New School

I just accepted a post at the New School University, teaching in the Media Studies Department. This should be a good thing for everyone.
I'll be teaching my first course next Fall, Technologies of Persuasion. The beauty of the New School University's model is that courses are not limited to those enrolled in a particular school or program - or even to full time students. So this means people from the real world can come in on an a la carte basis and just take my course. Meanwhile, grad students are exposed to people from the real world, already working in the industries we're studying.
There will be an official announcement soon enough, but I thought I'd share the good news now, just in case anyone is arranging a schedule for Fall, or thinking of applying to the New School University.
I will be there.

Sounds awesome, mind updating the site with info on how to register when it's all ready to go?
Will you have anymore courses online?

"In short, the less we are able to depend on business-as-usual to provide for our basic needs, the more we will be forced to provide them for ourselves and one another. Sometimes we’ll do this for free, because we like each other, or live in the same community. Sometimes we’ll exchange services or favors. Sometimes we’ll use one of the alternative, local currencies coming into use across the country as Central bank-issued currencies become too hard to get without a corporate job."
Where are you going to find the time to teach about media technology after spending 15 hours a day providing for your own basic food, water, and shelter needs? Or do you expect your students to barter food and home-building materials in return for your insights into anti-corporate activism?
