What sort of footage are you after? Video shots that you can narrate over? Short interviews? Something else?

Hi Eddie,

I'll be answering a lot of the questions about this, so feel free to email me directly if what I provide doesn't give enough explanation.

The main focus is to show that both exist worldwide: corporatism and/or local efforts of reconnecting to the community/world.

We are wanting as much footage around the country/world as possible.

The main footage we are looking for is B-Roll for narration, although we are accepting interviews and everything else. Interviews and other things will definitely be used after the movie is launched.

Be sure to check the banner on the right for more information and detail and also the technical page for talent release forms and the main uploader. Here are some basic examples of things you could shoot:

Corporatism:
corporate landscape: chains, name brands, gentrification of corporatism in small neighborhoods, other countries
Ewaste: landfills of computer and digital junk.
shopping
mall escalators
logos
newsfeed: stimulus package, banks failing, economy crashing
Individual mansions in suburb
parking lots of major shopping centers
worker exploitation
corporate music ads
provocative ads that demean women and men.
deforestation
security systems, security cars
suburbia
corporate construction
village people of financially poorer nations wearing brand clothing
graphs, numbers, charts
mass produced food (vegetables and fruits)
small business going out of business (with sign)
money being exchanged
credit cards being used
real estate 'for sale' signs. Anything indicating a depressed market
Theme parks
merchant ships, cargo ships
factory workers
factories, pollution
Bumper-to-bumper commuter traffic.
fast food

Local:
local currency
CSA's, farms, farmers markets, loading up a box of crops
planting trees, or crops
tutoring kids
sustainability in every form
progressive energy
progressive transportation
biodiesel being made
adult playing with kid
people biking
subversive ads
small business
alternative medicine
newsfeed: something good happening
people dancing
close up of smiles

Interesting poster on the complexity of editing almost 350 hours of footage for an independent film of the ineffectiveness of aid to Africa
