Live from Second Life

I'm doing a "live" appearance in Second Life, this Sunday evening at 9p Eastern, for CopperRobot.

We'll be talking about Life Inc, especially in the context of how people create value on the net - and whether there's a way for any significant number of us to make a living at it, anymore.

If you don't go to Second Life, you can also watch it as live video on the web.

Yay! Second Life! Anyone who likes computer games, or 3D environments in general, and is a bit creative should definitely check it out. It's great fun to do object oriented programming with "real" objects. I made a crude AI, that flys around checking out other objects and chats to people with a reasonable (relative to the SL limitations) AI chat program.
Loads of fun. :)
Anyone can feel free to contact me if you're interested in AI chat scripts within SL.

I'll plan to be there! Always looking for kindred spirits in-world so feel free to friend me and I'll show you what I've been up to...I'd like to see what you're working on, Eddie.

I got the time conversion wrong and turned up two hours late.

Argh, sorry about that, Eddie. However, we hope to get the podcast and video recording up soon. Watch http://www.copperrobot.com for notice.

An engaging and honest interview. Sort of an interesting point about how open source media is still displaying some semblance of corporate mass production in that projects tend to be based on copying.
